118 Puppy Mills in Texas & A Festival to End Them
Did you know that Texas is home to 118 Puppy Mills? These puppy mills are large scale dog breeding operations that focus on the profits of selling puppies. This means that the care the breeding mother and father dogs receive is minimum so the breeders can maximize profits. Dogs are often left with medical conditions untreated, little to no human interaction and their babies are taken away from them at a far too young age - often sold to pet stores before their immune systems

10 Dog Friendly Coffee Shops in ATX
Coffee and Dogs, that pretty much sums up the start of my day. Happily, my sweet Panda is always game for a quick stop for coffee before hitting the Hike and Bike trail. I like a bit of variety in my life, so we often choose a new spot to grab a scone and a latte. Here are a few of my favorite doggie friendly coffee spots around Austin! 1. Mozarts Coffee Roasters
3825 Lake Austin Blvd, Austin, TX 78703 This well known coffee spot sports a huge outdoor deck right on the lake

Cherry Cola Dog: Art + Dogs
Art and puppies are a pretty essential part of life in Austin! Cherry Cola Dog sits neatly in the heart of East Austin, the walls both inside and outside of the building covered in a variety of artwork. The vibe is relaxed with an air of hope, pride and creativity. It's the kind of place that makes you want to invest in a small local artist and pick up a paintbrush for yourself. Today's event is called Dogs on Deck and donations raised are going to the Austin Humane Society.

Cats of ATX: Wilco Shelter Photo Shoot

We spent some time at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter for a feline photo shoot! These cats and dogs are available for adoption, learn more at www.wilcopets.org.
